5 Easy Steps to Register your Child

1.)  Go to www.eAYSO.org and complete a medical release/application form on your child. If your child is a returning player, then you only need to verify all information is correct. If this is your first time with us, be sure to select Region-89 from the list of available regions.
2.)  Print 2 copies of the forms and mail them along with a check for payment to the address listed below. Our mail-In registration fee is $125.00 per child.
3.)  If this is your first time registering this child with us, please mail the forms with a photo copy of your childs brith certificate or other official document showing "proof of age".
4.)  We will process your registration and provide you with ways to volunteer in your child's soccer program.

Basic Questions & Answers

1.)  What are the dates for the season? Teams can start practicing in Aug and competition is from Sept - Nov.. Most games will be on Saturdays, but some U16 and U19 matches may be played on Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings due to field and referee availability.
2.)  Where are the matches played? We use a variety of fields in the community. The final decision on fields will not be made until registration is complete but this is what we did last year. U5 & U6 at Sunset Park near Lake Murray. U8 girls at Lemon Ave Elementary School. U8 boys at Northmont Elementary School. All U10 matches at Spring Valley Middle school. All U12 matches at La Mesa Middle School. All U14 matches at Murray Manor Elementary School. U16-19 will have their home matches at Grossmont High School.
3.) How do I figure out what division (U8, U10, etc.) my child is in? July 31 is the magic date. If your child has had their 8th birthday, but not their 10th by July 31 of 2010 they will be in the "Under 10" or "U10" age division. This same example applies for the other age divisions respectively.
4.)  When will my team practice and how often? We leave the practice schedules up to the team coach as they are the ones volunteering their time. Most coaches will have a team meeting and ask the parents which days and times work best to get the highest participation level.
5.)  When will we hear from our coach? Coaches can get their team rosters at our annual coaches meeting in late July. First practices can begin as early as August 1st. Please remember that coaches are volunteers and some may be on family vacations until as late as August 15.

La Mesa AYSO is an all volunteer organization.

We need many volunteers to successfully run our
region. Please consider giving your time to the thousands
of kids who are allowed to play soccer every year.

Scheduler
If you are a detail oriented person, this job is for you. After years of dedicated service our current scheduler is stepping down and we will need a new scheduler for the 2010 season. Some mentoring and templates are available.    Please contact the commissioner for more details at mel-mann@cox.net .

Assistant Registrar
Our Regional Registrar is looking for help. This is one of the most important jobs in the region and if you are comfortable at web-based tool this may be your position.   The current Registrar will provide lots of oversight and mentoring.    Please contact the Registrar for more details at jimcalla@gmail.com .

Assistant Treasurer
Are you detail oriented with good computer skills? The military has called and our Treasurer is being deployed to the other side of the world. Our current Assistant Treasurer needs your help. Please contact the volunteer coordinator at gay-faracemann@cox.net for more details on how you can step up to this challenge.

Tournament Director
We put on a pre-season Tournament every year as a fundraiser and pre-season warm-up. We need a point person to pull this effort together for our 2010 Labor Day Tournament. La Mesa AYSO is an all volunteer organization. We are always in need of more volunteers and you can help.

Asst. Commissioner
Work with our current Regional Commissioner managing a motivated group of volunteers. The current Commissioner is looking towards the future and would like to begin training his replacement. If you are looking for a chance to make a difference, this is it. Formal training and mentoring is available to ensure your success at this important volunteer position.
