Fall 2019 Registration Dates for La Mesa AYSO

All 2019 Registration can be done on this site if you click the Register Now button in the top right corner.

Please watch for our walk up registration date to turn in your players registration form.  Dates and locations will be posted on our website and on our Facebook under the events tab.

What’s the Board doing? Immediately after the last registration date, your Region Board begins the process of putting the teams together for the upcoming season. When this is completed, the uniforms will be ordered and the coaches will be notified.

When do the coaches get their teams? Coaches should expect to receive their team rosters on or around
July 22nd.

When do the players get called? Teams may begin practice on or after
August 1st. The coaches will call the players usually the weekend before practice starts. They will give you all the information you will need in regards to practice times and location. Each coach sets his/her own practice days, time and location. The practice fields are located throughout the La Mesa Spring Valley School District.

It’s after
August 6th, and my child has not been called. What do I do?
Please do not panic if you see teams practicing and your child has not been called. Not all teams begin practice at the same time. The very young teams, in particular, do not always begin practice on August 1st. Also some coaches may be out of town, or we may not have enough volunteers to form a team.

If your child has not been called by
August 6th, please email the Regional Commissioner: Nicole Ciokiewicz at [email protected].

What else does my child need? The registration fee includes: national membership, complete uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks), supplemental accident insurance, field use, equipment use, practices, games, pictures and fun!  In addition, you may need to obtain soccer shoes, shin guards, a soccer ball (size depends on age) and a water bottle.

How often are practices and games? Practices are held once or twice a week depending on the age of your child (field and times to be determined by your child’s coach). Games will be
on Saturday's with the first game on September 9th. Games and practices will be held at fields in the La Mesa Spring Valley School District (East County Area).

Refund? Players withdrawing prior to
September 9th (first regular season game) will be issued a refund minus the $20.00 membership fee. After September 9th are subject to Region Guidelines "Refund Policy" and Regional Commissioner approval.  All requests for a refund must be submitted in writing: "Snail" Mail: La Mesa AYSO Region 89  P.O. Box 131 La Mesa, CA 91944

Late registration? Late registration begins after our last registration on
July 12th and subject to waiting list.

Q.)  Can I play with my friend?

A.)  We carefully consider and make every effort to accommodate parent/player requests and want nothing more than for you and your player to have the most satisfying AYSO Soccer experience as possible. The ONLY requests that we can GUARANTEE is for head coach and assistant coaches who wish to coach together.

Q.) Where will my team practice?

A.) La Mesa AYSO uses 7 fields in our community. For insurance reasons you can only practice on our designated fields. The coach will generally pick the field closest to where they live, but may adjust this depending on crowding or the needs of the team.

Q.) When will my team practice?

A.) Again, this is at the discretion of your coach. Most coaches will poll their families for a time and day(s) that work best for the maximum number of players.

 Q.) What about carpooling?

A.) All of us have busy lives and carpooling is encouraged between parents on the same team. For liability reasons, any parent transporting someone else’s children should have a letter in their glove-box specifying that they have permission to transport other family’s children.  We do not have coed teams during our fall session.
