Fall 2025 Registration Dates for La Mesa AYSO May 1st, 2025 - July 31th, 2025. Late Registration, based on capacity, from August 1 until 9/1/2025
All 2025 Registration can be done on this site if you click the Register Now button in the top right corner.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: In order to create teams we will need volunteers to step forward and lead their team. When completing the registration process please consider filling out the Volunteer application for one of the positions available. This will help to expedite the team formation process and get players assigned to teams much faster.
What’s the Board doing? Immediately after the last registration date, your Region Board begins the process of putting the teams together for the upcoming season. Coaches are assigned to each team, then players will be placed on the roster. When this is completed, the uniforms will be ordered and the coaches will be notified.
When do the coaches get their teams? Coaches should expect to receive their team rosters on or around the end of July.
When do the players get called? Teams may begin practice in early August. The coaches will call the players during the week before the start of practices. They will give you all the information you will need in regards to practice times and location. Each coach sets his/her own practice days, time and location. The practice fields are located throughout the La Mesa Spring Valley School District.
It’s mid-August, and my child has not been called. What do I do?
Please do not panic if you see teams practicing and your child has not been called. Not all teams begin practice at the same time. The very young teams, in particular, do not always begin practice as soon as possible. Also, some coaches may be out of town, OR we may not have enough volunteers to form a team. If you are willing to volunteer so that your child can begin practicing on the fields please contact our Coach Administrator at [email protected].
If your child has not been called by mid-August, please email the Coach Administrator: Ryan Diener at [email protected].
What else does my child need? The registration fee includes: national membership, complete uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks), supplemental accident insurance, field use, equipment use, practices, games, an age appropriate soccer ball (provided after practices begin), and fun! In addition, you may need to obtain soccer shoes, shin guards, a soccer ball (size depends on age) and a water bottle.
How often are practices and games? Practices are held once or twice a week depending on the age of your child (field and times to be determined by your child’s coach). Games will be on Saturdays with the first games in early September. Games and practices will be held at fields in the La Mesa Spring Valley School District (East County Area).
Refund? They are subject to Region Guidelines "Refund Policy" and Regional Commissioner approval. All requests for a refund must be submitted in writing: "Snail" Mail: La Mesa AYSO Region 89 P.O. Box 131 La Mesa, CA 91944
Late registration? Please Note that Late Registrations may be subject to additional processing fees.

Q.) Can I play with my friend?
A.) We carefully consider and make every effort to accommodate parent/player requests and want nothing more than for you and your player to have the most satisfying AYSO Soccer experience as possible. The ONLY requests that we can GUARANTEE is for head coach and assistant coaches who wish to coach together.
Q.) Where will my team practice?
A.) La Mesa AYSO uses 4 fields in our community. For insurance reasons you can only practice on our designated fields. The coach will generally pick the field closest to where they live, but may adjust this depending on crowding or the needs of the team.
Q.) When will my team practice?
A.) This is at the discretion of your coach. While the coach will attempt to schedule practices on nights that work best for the maximum number of players, it is ultimately the Coach that determines the practice schedule. This is one of the perks of volunteering to become a coach. We know everyone is busy, but parents you already have to be on the field to drive your kid to practice - why not volunteer as the coach so you set the schedule to meet your time frame. We offer all the training you need to become a coach.
